As a media student I have created a few pieces of audio content that I want to share with you, to showcase what I can do within the audio aspect of media. For all of these features they are original content created by me, I have sourced and created the content alongside editing and finalising the content to the best of my abilities.

The “my music assignment” was assigned to us, to showcase the importance of a song or piece of audio for someone. In this case I asked my friend Sophie and she choose “Take on the world” by You me at six, and she goes onto explain that the song is dear to her and her sisters bond and how the music connects them together. I am proud of this piece, as its one of my favourites as it holds a lot of meaning towards Sophie, her sister and the song.

Stoptober was a small assignment that we first got when coming into the university to help us get used to the Tascam’s (recording device). The assignment was to choose any news going on either in the world, any issue, or something that was happening at that time. As it was October when recording we decided to ask people in the university about Stoptober and their thoughts on it.

One of the longer assignments that we first got was to create a mini feature that was a minimum of 5 minutes long to showcase an understanding of something that we are interested in, so I did the importance of charity shops and if people think it has gone downhill as of recently. The mini feature showcases my recording, interviewing and editing skills to a important issue that is not always looked upon.

He Said She Said

He Said She Said was a group project that we undertook in University, where the audience decides the fate of the story. In the audio package you have the “main body” which is the main part of the story, and four alternative endings that you get to choose from. This concept that my peer pitched got my intrigued and I knew I wanted to be apart of this experience. The whole story is about a girl going on a date with a guy from online, and she doesn’t know what to do at the end of the date, should she go in the car with him or not?
